Robbie Parks : A Man of Service

“My dad was a Marine and he taught me to serve others by giving back.” Robbie Parks has been doing just that since he became paralyzed 34 years ago – he is a board member of the South Eastern Wheelchair Sports Association, coach for the ASAP Water Ski Team, WSDA US Athlete Advisor, Co-Founder of the Triad Trackers Wheelchair Basketball Team… the list keeps going. Adaptive Sports showed him how to live again and now he’s guiding others to that same realization. #adaptandconquer #sea2sea

Adapt & Conquer: From Sea to Shining Sea

WELCOME! On April 10th, 2016 a group of disabled, paralyzed, wounded, and severely injured cyclists, paired with able-bodied cyclists will begin their journey from San Diego, CA to Camp Lejeune, NC. The goal of this excursion is to raise awareness of the benefits Adaptive Sports can offer our veterans who have suffered life-altering injuries while serving our country. The team will ride day and night with minimal breaks to complete its route in just 10.5 days!

We, the @axiosnyc team, will follow the riders and capture this inspiring story of camaraderie, resilience, and determination.

Follow us and join these cyclists through the peaks, valleys, and desserts, both physical and emotional, that they will overcome on this journey.

Take a look at our route. We might be passing near you!‪#‎sea2sea‬ ‪#‎adaptandconquer‬
